My brother has Platinum on his DS Lite and I checked it out. There are no firetypes anywhere which made me mad.

Yeah, the only way to get a fire type is to get Chimchar at the start, teach fire moves to pokemon, get Ponyta, or get Magmortor from Pokemon Battle Rev
