Saw this on Artist Confessions and oh my goodness this is beautiful I love the attitude she has! This is also traditional! Looks amazing almost like digital coloring with textures. I must say I really like this one a lot! I also love how she looks mature and sexy

And yes, she winks. This cat is (was) actually my kitty and she did wink at me from time to time. My sister's icon meows, and the frame rate is slightly different, so when you stick them together they go "meow . . . wink . . . meow . . wink . . . . meow . wink . . . mink!"

This is the first time I've seen a dark skinned Gijinka, so it's really quite unique, further more, the imagination and effort you've put into this really shows. <3

thats kind of sad, since so many of the pokemon lend themselves to different ethnicities well.

Ah, it is kinda sad. But it's true, since usually, all the Gijinkas (or at least, a good deal of them) are light skinned.
The very few that are of different ethnicities are eastern, such as Chinese or Japanese.
Generally in Anime's, I find it hard to see Middle Eastern (like from India) or darker skinned people any way. The closet I can find is tanned (though there are some like Aisha from Outlaw Star.)

And sometimes those 'tanned' ones are just Ganguro or Manba-type. (japanese girls who either tan a lot then wear white lipstick, or use dark skin foundation)

wow, this is one of the most unique absol's i have ever seen o.O it's unique in a good way though. i really like it ^_^ even my trainer design (inspired heavily by visual kei, and a bit by Soma Cruz from Castlevania) kinda fits into the absol cliche as seen in this picture (not mine): [link]
