Claus of Mother 3, brother of Lucas, and in my opinion the most likely candidate for the next Mother rep in Brawl.He's got a sword, jetpack wings, a beam cannon, pig bombs, whats not to like?

Oh yes, I think this is a really good HD version of the "Masked Man." And boy, is he tough. I haven't got the game, I just watched a gameplay video. All Lucas could do was heal himself. Somehow reminded me of Sora and Roxas...

In the second to last boss fight, which is against Porky, realizing he can't win he puts himself in the Absolutely Safe Machine, which he doesn't know traps him forever.

At this point, Claus really does seem like the most likely contestant
Ness's chances aren't so great, and certainly no one from Earthbound has much of a chance. (Though Jeff would be bamf)
Duster has been confirmed as an AT, and Lucas uses pretty much every one of Kumatora's offensive attacks (Save PK Ground, which can be used for her AT.) No one else from Mother 3 is that likely.
Porky isn't.... playable material. He'd be in that giant Spider machine. He seems to have a thing for Giant spiders machines.

Personally, I hope there aren't any more. I don't want Brawl to start focusing more on non-nintendo characters than Nintendo originals.
