Description After looking at ~Midnight-Lonesome 's awesome sketch of Gherán for a while this week, I felt like drawing him too...a little break from my ref sheets, and a way out of my current art slump, perhaps. I was going to draw his full body, but didn't get that far. So anyway, here's Gherán, one of my few actual dragon characters! (That meaning non-anthro or whatnot.) I really need to find out what an open mouth actually looks like. D:

Good job. Mouths are hard, I see how it looks in my mind but can never draw it right..so I usually draw long teeth to hide most of it and shade it in XD. Good job on the eye tho too. I can never seem to get accurite looking eyes.

Cool. The snout kind of reminds me of carnotaurus, but a little longer.

Critique-wise...I think the lower jaw would be more convincing if it were slightly thicker, especially towards where it attaches to the skull. As it looks now, the head is blunt and robust looking, while the jaw slender and delicate in appearance.

I do have a bad habit of making the lower jaws really thin. That's the way I see them in my head.
