A quick speedpainting I did while my internet was down today (although I'm sure it'll cut out again just after I submit this...hopefully not before). This took maybe an hour and a half.I don't like speedpainting because I'm big on definite lines and perfectly planned layouts, but I also didn't feel like pulling out the sketchbook and tablet today, so I just did it straight in Photoshop with my mouse. Not a very big canvas to work with so I didn't need much detail.
Although I really like the landscape, I don't think the dragon...thing...really fits. Oh well.

Very nice, Have you ever played a Video Game called Drakengard?
If not I would highly recommend both 1 and 2, their rated M for some rather insane themes, but this reminds me of the Twilight hills mission when you're riding your Dragon.
I love the elder scrolls and haven't yet played WoW much but plan to soon enough.

I love the color pallet you used! Beautiful. 
But overall, I think this is a gorgeous piece! it's good to sometimes do something outside your artistic comfort level.

I thought it might be because the dragon is so sharp while the rest is rather hazy, but I didn't like the effect when I blurred the dragon.
I did intend for it to be more red and yellow, but I kept using purples and eventually it worked really well so I didn't try adding more colors.
