And so my silly Pokémon fancomic begins!

So yeah, that's my new little project. It started out as a nuzlocke but for several reasons I removed that aspect and made it a regular fancomic. That certainly gives me a lot more freedom to do whatever I want with it.
(And looking back, the playthrough it's based on wasn't all that "legit" either. I just really wanted a story to work on and got impatient with the game I guess )
Now this comic combines aspects of my FireRed nuzlocke playthrough, several playthroughs of other Pokémon games (which mostly inspired side-characters), the anime ....and just what I'd like the pokemon world to be like.

I'm mostly working on this for myself, to have fun, so everything will be very self-indulgent, focused more on my own interests than those of a specific/wider audience. But I figured if I put that much effort into it I might as well share it too and if someone else can enjoy my work as well then that's even better ★

General info:
- while this comic is mostly pg13 and SFW, I guess I should warn for potential violence and language down the line? They might swear a little and there will be blood when someone gets injured badly.
- I will use Japanese names for towns, regions and characters, since it all mostly takes place in the Japanese based regions of the Pokémon world. I just think it fits better. But Pokémon names will stay english... Because they're >>species<<< names and there's no reason not to translate them. (Like, we don't call cats and dogs "nekos and inus" in stories that take place in japan after all.) This might be weird to some but I AM drawing this comic for myself so.... yeah.
- Canon characters of the games and anime will appear, as well as tons of OCs (Including self-inserts of me and friends)
- Don't expect romance. ...Potentially some bromances though. I live for friendship focused stories >w<
- I chose the title OvercastBlue because it's mostly based on the Kanto FRLG games. There never was a remake for Pokémon Blue specifically and I didn't want to go with something too generic like "AquaBlue". I also think "overcast" it will fit the overall mood of the story better

Page tidbits:
- The star constellations for Arceus, Pikachu, Omastar and Kabuto are just completely made up, they reference roughly what the pokemon look like
- Eevee, Ho-oh and Lugia are directly taken from Pokemon Ranger 3 's runes
- Giratina's is based on the symbol for the platinum element, Palkia's on a shell with a pearl in it and Dialga a diamond of course lol
- Mew's is roughly based on the Mewtwo rune from ranger 3
- That being said, the constellations are mostly there to be pretty tbh (but I might reference them again at some point)
- Page 1 and Page 2 where at first meant to be one single BIG page but that didn't work out. Every website I tried had size limitations that just didn't make it possible (I'm open for any advise on that lol)
