Dark Cloud was one of my favourite games of the PS2 era, not sure why but it really caught my attention. I couldn't get into the sequel but still.
I loved playing as Xiao just cause of how cute she was.

I never played the original, yet I played Dark Chronicle. It's probably my favourite ps2 game. I've been replaying it. The game is really fun, but the dialogue is cheesy. I also got Dark Cloud, but I haven't played it yet.

Dark Cloud is definitely a lot more "basic" than Dark Chronicle, in terms of mechanics, but I love it for it's simplicity so I'd definitely recommend it :3

Its fun. I love the first game a bit more than the second, but that because I find the first's story easier to remember/understand, lol. I also really love the music from both.

I love the music in 2! Yeah, with the whole timetravel bit, 2 jumps back and forward a lot.

Although 1 has time travel in a way near the end its it's not 2 where it can be hard to keep up with if you don't understand the story, lol. But it does make me wonder if all that changing past stuff affected Monica's memories and possibly her history.
I wish we got to see the future of Palm Brinks. I have a theory that Monica's kingdom could be the town's future, but its mostly based on small things I've noticed that might actually be coincidence, but who knows really. xD
Besides some things I'll always perfer 1 over 2, even though I do love Monica and Max as characters, lols

Yeah, I'm near the end of 2's story and I was visiting all of the future worlds, and was wondering what a future palmbrinks would look like. I love Monica and Max's character designs, though theyre more braty than I remember, haha. I really wish they'd make a dark cloud 3, especially with today's capabilities.

That part of the reason I've been trying for years now to make a story based on Dark Cloud's world lol. XD
Hopefully someday we'll see a Dark Cloud 3 made.
Although I do wonder if it'd be separate like the first two are or a continuation of one of the other two or a prequel. If a prequel to the first one we could get a story on Aga. XD that'd be so awesome.
