Pallas Cat  (Otocolobus manul)

population estimation – 15,315 mature individuals
Population trend – decreasing
Near threatened by IUCN

Pallas cats appear to be bigger and heavier than they actually are due to their stocky builds and long, dense coats.  Their fur is nearly twice as long on their belly and tail as on their top and sides.

In reality, they’re about the size of domestic cats: they measure up to 26 inches in body length (with an 8-12 inch tail) and weigh only around 10 pounds.

Diet = small mammals (esp Pika), marmots, birds, carrion, reptiles, insects

Activity – active early morning and early evening (crepuscular) but can be active all day (diurnal)

I chose the Pallas' cat as my fursona when I saw some videos of them.  They looked like I do when I'm at work.

I fell in love with them when doing my animal husbandry internships. I didn't work with them normally, but had to help load one up for a veterinary exam one day.
I'd been in with larger cats than them (Canada lynx) but i'd never felt so nervous as with the Pallas Cats! Lots of personality in their fluffy little bodies

It's those sneaky little ones with their oh so innocent looks that you have to be careful of.  LOL.
