So I thought it would be fun to share with you guys my coloring process.
(that and I found some fun coloring techniques that help speed coloring up and wanted to share the knowledge! XD)NOTE*** I color with Paint Tool SAI, so I'm not sure if Photoshop will bring out a similar result.
Btw, I used Sally of the Sonic Skyline Fanart piece with Sally and Nicole as the example.

About your method for cell-shading: there's nothing really odd about it (at least to me), I've seen several artists outlining the to-be-shaded parts of a drawing before actually shading them.

My problem is making the lines in the first place. I need to get a table and a program that's good at making lines...Photoshop is wonderful but that blasted pen tool....

I'm not sure how photoshop works, but with SAI theres this thing called the Stabilizer and it really makes Inking easier. Depending on what setting it's on, it slows the pen down. I tend to have it on S-5, which is really slow, and it gives off a similar feeling as using a G-pen on a tablet, so it could make inking on any tablet easier.

Totally. It's also a really fun way to learn new things like coloring techniques and how they go about it. I love looking at process things like videos and pictures!

The steps are simple enough to also be adaptable for other programs like Paint.NET and Hornil Stylepix. If Photoshopers can't follow these instructions, then they have no business doing digital drawings in the first place. XD
