Quinn is a contractor noT LIKE KYUUBEY DONT GET ANY IDEAS GKJLSADR;ESTLG'SAEPRE[GA but my headcanon of contracting goes differently. He writes a contract with a spell/curse/enchantment in it and it has to be approved by the board, which is done so by chanting a spell that will give the board a preview of the entire document, and the document is required to have a loophole.

Ex. The spell will only be broken if you learn to gracefully back flip on the balance beam in a leotard.

Yeah that's valid, and it's the loophole to the entire thing. Though the board allows an expiration of the loophole.

"You only have a week to learn how to back flip gracefully or the curse will remain on you forever and be passed on to your descendants."

Contractors usually work as lawyers or executors in the magic world and you have to be a licensed contractor to hand out any contracts to any person. Quinn is a legal contractor and once worked for magical creatures, his business was like making a deal with the devil though since his prices were often so high, but he would always find a way to do as you paid him to do, even if it isn't necessarily the way you wanted it to be done.

Only the contractor who made the initial contract can cancel the entire thing. Often times, it takes a drop of their blood and a very fussy ritual, so often the payment to cancel one is double the initial payment.

Contractors are identified as sneaky and charming, it's not so much as a choice occupation as you are born/chosen for the job.

And Quinn usually just goofs off and writes temporary curses these days, but it still looks cool whenever he enchants the paper.
