this is my version of jim goldberg's "confiscated objects," but instead of guns and knives, the drawer contains antique jewelry. it's an illustration of how even though society ebraces the idea of women being anything they want, the old standards and stereotypes for women still exist. they're just hidden in a three-inch drawer somewhere. out of sight, but not out of mind.
