Yeah, I don't know. ._. Anyway, yes. This just kinda happened. Originally, Dib was supposed to be on the ground, bloodied up and badly injured, calling out for him to come back. But when I finished, I looked it over and realized I suck at that kind of pose. So I erased him and drew him like this instead.
I like this one better. More dramatic, and... almost longing, perhaps? It's up for interpretation.I'm really proud of how Zim's black eye turned out. It probably happened after Zim slashed Dib's face. Dib retaliated by socking him in the eye socket.

If I was a good artist, I would have put some sort of dark background, or at least some wires and stuff to imply that it's Zim's lab, perhaps... But I'm not a good artist. So instead, you get-

I will interpret it my way.
Given that Dib seems prone to psychological maladies, I state the following.
The two are walking away, after a scuffle of course, When Dib's worldview comes crashing down. He has wasted his life trying to find a way to stop this Invader only to realize that the two have no reason. Zim is no threat to earth. (Maybe in small doses.) Upon walking away A brand new Nihilistic depression creeps into his mind, making him reflect on what hells he's been through.
Zim is more simplistic. After years of living in denial he severed all ties to the Irkin Armada, Going independant and trying to eke out a reputation on earth. He fails, and when Dib gives into the vacuous despair, he loses his only social link (excluding Gir, who honestly may have eaten himself by now.)

No, seriously. AWESOME interpretation. 
I'm actually writing a fanfiction thingy where Dib gets emo and ends up committing suicide. Well, I say emo... he cuts himself, that's it. Eventually, he takes it too far.

Pfft. I should have left off where Dib died, but no... I had to make it happy somehow.
So when Zim eventually dies too (some random human stabbed him to death and robbed him), I have to come up with this elaborate idea about the afterlife. I didn't want to just go with Heaven, so I made things way more complicated than they needed to be. Fff- But things turn out great in the end. ^_^
Also, you need to come down and visit us! D: Get a hold of a car and drive down here!
