Someone on deviantart once said that there was a lot of male-male bondage, bonding i meant but it would be refreshing to see some male-female bonding (it was on a deviation where naruto and sasuke were walking across a bridge dressed as samurai, getting all chummy and brokeback-mountainy) and i was reading bleach, with ichigo-rukia bondage. bonding, that's what i mean. ahem. so i thought, why not draw some female-female bondage? BONDING.

so here we are, and we have a high elf and a dark elf, obviously in the midst of some sort of combat, brandishing their blades and looking all "joo better not be lookin' at my goods or i'll put my oversized sword where the sun don't shiny, buddy" of course, as in most fantasy universes, the high elves and dark elves in the warhammer universe are the mortalest of mortal enemies. which is to be expected seeing as the dark elves started a civil war and sank half of the elven nation. anyway, these two met, and haven't killed each other yet *gasps*.

this is because (and i just BET you people are going to start rolling your eyes once I say this) they are irresistibly attracted to one another - of course, they're also enemies, and their minds are poisoned by millenia of hatred between their seperate cultures. it doesn't help that the dark elf is one of the witch elves of khaine, and has sacrificed more high elves to that murderous deity than she can count, while the high elf was alive at the time of the civil war and lost her entire family and many of her friends when the nation sank beneath the seas... so she's dealt with the pain the only way she knows how - by killing all the dark elves she can get her hands on. so they're both laboring under this burden of unaccustomed guilt. but they can't get around to reconciling it with each other because they still hate each other, and are constantly stepping on each others' toes with their beliefs and personalities.

of course, their viewpoints have still been irrevocably changed by their acquaintance, so they can't go back to the way they were before, so they're setting off on their own.

i spent a long, long time getting these two right, and the picture was too messy to be cleaned up with a rubber, so i did it using photoshop. i might ink it later, and then rub out all the pencil lines. that would then be cleaner, and i could put in a background, and maybe some poor, helpless, 300-pound, orcs, that they're slaughtering. anyway, those are my thoughts. this piece is more to do with getting the women right, than about fancy shading and composition.
