Description A departure from what I normally submit. This is a quick long exposure view from the Lees Ave. overpass in Ottawa. The highway below is the 417 .

This is a single RAW shot, done HDR using one other copied exposure. Very little color work was done on this shot as the sky was simply perfect that night.

As for the frame, well. I tried my usual and didn't like it. The fat frame was placed there almost as a joke...But it seemed to work with the dark elements of the shot. Let me know what you think.

Full view on this one as always!

So how does this stack up for a single-file job?

Thanks Craig

night hdr's are somewhat complicated, in regards to exposing each area correctly, and general necessity in the first place. so considering that its a wonderful job.

Awesome job. it's a pity that there was not more traffic to made the lights thicker. But it doesnt really matter. it is a great shot eather way.

Thanks buddy. Yeah this was taken right after rush hour at about 7pm. In about 2 months it'll get dark right when the traffic peaks at 5pm, so I'm gonna try to get similar shots with traffic jams instead of swiftly-moving traffic.

Alls you need is a tripod! They're alot of fun. THe hard part here was timing the traffic on the overpass just right, because every time a car drove my, the roadway (and tripod) shook.

Thanks friend.

Amazing shot!! The lines in the sky from the sunset work so well with the lighttrails from the traffic below. I guess many of the photographers in the region went out for that beautiful sky last week! ...I missed out.

F***in' no way! I lived in the Manoir for 2 years (well 18 months actually, thanks to our neighbor who decided to remodel the building by torching it, lol).
