I was getting annoyed that everyone I saw on the street that day was looking at a phone. It's like, why even learn to draw other gestures? All people do anymore is navel gaze and twitch their thumbs. I thought it'd be funny to draw a bunch of characters in fantastic settings just dicking around on their iphones. :-P

Do you just draw anyone you see in the street or do you choose people who are interesting or fun to draw? I just *love* how each and every person looks different in your sketches and could imagine a whole comic universe with them ... I just have the impression that the majority of people in the street doesn't have these unique facial features that you'd always recognize and distinguish from others ...

Thanks so much! I definitely pick and choose the gestures/features/proportions/clothes that inspire me, and even if I wanted to draw everyone I couldn't draw quickly enough to get them all. /

Great job! Love the rhythm and slight caricature of the people! When you sketch to do you put a guiding pencil line underneath or do you just draw straight with a pen?

lol, the Portland Airport is so cheesy sometimes. Yeah, getting lost in Portland isn't that bad it's nice to have a pretty small city.
