Work between all the other works I'm doing.Watching computer screen have made me quite queasy lately,
and my hand has had cramps while drawing digitally, so little break from it was great.
Anyhow; there's always enough space for one more drawing of Hetalia's Arthur Kirkland (England) as a pirate!
I've always liked stories where are pirates, and he is one of my fav Hetalia character so why the hell not.
And look, I made my first background with copics! Yay me!
...and I realized also this while doing it: I fucking love colouring traditionally!!!! 8D
I wonder why I haven't done any traditional art in a looong time...
probably because if I blew it up it's fully ruined, like happened to the first version of this drawing... I coloured 50% from it when I put wrong colour to the clouds...
but I'm stubborn and re-made the whole drawing and now I'm happy I did it. Thou once again, the colours are a bit better irl...
His coat is a bit different than what I've used to see on him when he's dressed up a a pirate but oh well...I have my artist's freedom. x'3
I hope you like this, even if you wouldn't care about hetalia related stuff.

Did you use a combination of Copics and colored pencil? The coloring is absolutely lovely. *.*

I did. :3 I used mainly copics, but added some blue into shadows with colored pencils. ^^
I usually use them to make the final touch.

.... LMAO!! That rocks my world! But seriously Hanne..this is some AMAZING traditional coloring, that BG is wicked pretty, look at that WATER 8| *is mesmerized* All the shadings and tones look outstanding, and the lighting as well! I think lighting is one of the hardest things in traditonal art, gettting the right tones to match the light source but you got it perfect here <3 I have been working on coloring something traditionally for 2 years now...and I FAIL so bad at it XDDD Plus I can't do BG's worth beans

I think it's weird too. o3o I quess it's because I keep my hand in different position when I draw digitally.
I rarely have this problem when I do traditional stuff, but ofcourse if I do it a lot them my pinky joints starts to hurt. ;u;
I hope I won't ever have to go for a surgery if I get somekind of an joint-infection... it might happen in a long term.
That's why I always try to relax my hand every now and them when I draw.

First I was so angry that I ruined the first version, but then I had chance
