I guess Ah'tekk probably got some good headache, too.
And now I just realised Jacind picked up the Seradin device. For what use?

Just to clean up the evidence of his work so it would look like he was trying to be sneaky about freeing Ah'tekk. He swapped the sedative canisters from the machine into his pack and replaced them with the stimulant. Then he'd just have to take the sedative canisters, stash them someplace, and it would take the Priestesses a while to look at the machine so he'd have more time to get away. He'd ultimately still want them to know he did it, and hopefully believe he did it alone, but he'd also want them to think he was earnestly trying to get away with it.
But alas, he sucks at chemistry apparently. Whoops!

I don't think he took the device itself - methinks he just had a bag with him that contained equipment he needed to mess with the machine. You can sorta see in in some of previous page's panels.
