Ahh these are so pretty! I'd love to see some with owl-like designs (pfft. So hawkish, right?), because owls are just my favorite. What a lovely new breed you have bestowed upon my eyes <3

TalonV In reply to Nytemare-Factor [2012-10-13 15:40:10 +0000 UTC]

Aww...thanks!

I was thinking about making several subspecies of these, maybe some more owl-like and others even vulture-like. I think these are more like raptor dragons and not just hawks. But dragonhawk sounds better than dragonraptor.

ooh sub-species would be nice! I'd love a vulture dragon, too. They'd be terrifying. o-o

You're welcome! If you make some more or if the other one doesn't sell (which I doubt, because it is beautiful) I'll have to buy a mate for my new dragonhawk c:

Well, no hits on the female as of yet. So she may just end up being yours.

Think I should change the category to 'devious fun/adoptables' instead of 'digital/fantasy'?

Yeah, I think that would help c:

Okay, I tried that. Dunno if it'll do anything, though.

Tell ya what, if no one buys her in a day or two, she can be yours.

dragonhawks would be so awesome to own. they are like my cat, stratus. all they want is love and attention, and they'll be there for you when they want to and have plenty of fun entertaining you with their antics when they don't suspect they are.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-13 15:41:56 +0000 UTC]

They would be awesome to own! Hard to feed, to be sure, unless you live out in the country and it could hunt for itself.

I would give my left foot to be able to 'own' and ride one of these!

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-13 18:10:52 +0000 UTC]

exactly. i live in an area with innumerable white tailed deer and turkeys out in the country, so that would be no problem.

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-13 23:04:26 +0000 UTC]

Wow, I don't see many people on here that live in the country.

We have tons of deer around here, and we used to have alot of wild turkeys too, but this last year the fire ants got into all their nests and ate the eggs. So, no chicks. I haven't seen a single turkey this year, and we used to have a big flock of 'em in our woods.

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-14 01:01:28 +0000 UTC]

ugh. fire ants... my dad got stung by them when he was in military training as a young recruit. they crawled into his gloves. Yuck!

As for wildlife like turkeys, they are pretty common where i live. as for deer, we have a literal prince of the forest, a huge buck with 20 points; 10 per antler, and his girlfriend we call Princess Diana, a beautiful doe with black fur around her face. i have even seen glimpses of the local bobcat too.

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-15 12:18:31 +0000 UTC]

The deer around here don't really get close enough to see them very well, but we do see a bobcat every now and then. We also saw a mountain lion walking down the side of the road awhile ago. There's also a lot of wild boar out here too...

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-15 14:56:11 +0000 UTC]

way cool. here in New York, people won't even acknowledge the mountains still exist, even after one was hit by a car.

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-15 21:57:45 +0000 UTC]

Odd....

There was a black panther seen on our land by the person who owned the place before us. We haven't seen it yet, but I really hope to.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-16 00:03:50 +0000 UTC]

well, no one wants to give up land to protect them here sad to say.

Black Panther? where exactly do you live? i know of no black mountain lions. it could be a melanistic jaguar.

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-16 00:55:48 +0000 UTC]

Ah.

I live in southeastern Oklahoma. I have also tried to research into the black cougars, but alas, no photos to be found.

But melanism can occur in any species, so it's possible it's a melanistic cougar.

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-16 01:43:23 +0000 UTC]

yes, but it does not aid them. i think what you are dealing with is a roaming male black jaguar. they used to live in oklahoma, so its possible one returned to make himself a territory.

TalonV In reply to Saberrex [2012-10-19 03:30:07 +0000 UTC]

Really?! Whoa....now that's cool! But a jaguar...way up here in OK? I never would have thought....

Saberrex In reply to TalonV [2012-10-19 10:05:20 +0000 UTC]

well, Oklahoma was the northern extent of their range. its possible one has returned to his kin's old stomping grounds
