Description EDIT

Added some info about them.

/EDIT

Yay! I managed to get my DragonHawk inked and colored! Now to get a saddle and bridle designed.

Adoptable are on the way. Stand by!

DragonHawk Info:
Dragonhawks are fierce creatures. They look like a combination of the Great Western Dragon and a giant hawk, but in reality they are their own species.

As I was saying, they are fierce creatures, and if encountered in their wild state....deadly. However, if one does manage to acquire an egg, and correctly incubates it, the hatchling will imprint upon the first living thing(s) it sees; whether human or any other creature. It will then strive to protect it's parent(s) at whatever cost to itself.

If raised alongside people and other animals after it's initial imprinting, the hatchling will grow into a very docile beast. Some females become so docile that they may even 'adopt' certain people/animals if their mothering instinct detects an orphan in need or something along similar lines.

They are also extremely intelligent. These creatures have been seen using tools to hunt their prey; such as dropping a large rock into a swiftly running herd of elk, an action which will effectively take down several of the deer.

Dragonhawks are also known to be able to learn and completely understand spoken languages, and can also learn to recognize several written symbols and drawings. They are especially adept at learning battle maneuvers and are often seen incorporating said maneuvers into their hunting strategies.

One thing must be mentioned though. You do not OWN a dragonhawk. It is there because it wants to be. The moment it feels like it's neither wanted nor properly treated, it will leave, and it will not come back....at least not without considerable effort on behalf of the offender.

All said and done, hand-raised and captive bred dragonhawks make fantastic mounts for anyone from a knight to any person willing to take alot of time and effort to raise and care for one of these noble beasts. And in my humble opinion, all effort taken, is effort well spent. To befriend one of these creatures is well worth it.

Additional Info:
Female dragonhawks do not have horns, and are much larger than the males.

The dragonhawks shown are the largest size they can ever be, many are a good deal smaller.

The largest females can carry up to three adult humans or four to five children at once.

The largest males can only carry up to one, or two smaller adults, depending on the particular strength of the individual.

Hmm... well, they be my real special babies, but... if you promise to take good care of it, and show me your design before uploading, then...... yus. :'3 Their markings and forms are based of real-life birds.... take a look at The Watch folder in the gallery here Realm-of-the-Aveum to get a few ideas.

Okee, i was planning on doing a raven for start, with a rare pattering called hariquin, (its a real thing look it up) with albino for one of the sides and a raven with grey tiped feathers, Β also, Β do you mind if i make the wing completely featherd? Β Or can i not do that?Β

Hmm.... I'm looking, but I'm not getting much; could you find a photo for me? ;w;

Also.... eh... no fully feathered wings. A different species (it's a mess, don't ask... all I'm gonna say is that mine were first by a couple years) has fully feathered wings, and I might get in trouble if I made fully feathered wings a thing with my birbs....

Yeah i understand there are the dracostyx and thats why i Β was asking ;v; also the harliquin is more prominent in rabbits, but occors extreamly rarely in other animals, Β its where two colors (say black and white) are split down the middle of the face and does a checkerboard down the back, and in birds it would make one wing black and the other whiteΒ

I suppose the harliquin will be alright then~ ;w;

Remember though, mutations are very hard to come by, so.... this is a very special thing. Usually they're earned though much hard work in the group (and even the common aveum are earned, or bought.... though they are much cheaper than the stryx.). ;w; Feel free to join, btw!

Yep. I'm trying to get out of my digital rut by doing a whole bunch of personal drawings. I'm feeling alot better now that I'm getting this stuff done so your pic should be getting colored soon.

Thanks. I have a feeling that they'll end up like my dreyst, though. Sell a few then nuthin'. S'okay though. Wish I could give you more points....but I'm just about out.
