My first thought of this image is that this is a pretty girl. But that got thrown out the window when you said "guy". The shawl covering the shoulders, the bracelet on the left arm, the nail polish, and the necklace all made me think it was a woman.

I think the hand is very nice, nicely drawn and everything. Maybe it's me, but I see nothing wrong with it.

The background is lovely and draws attention to the center of the screen, where the guy is. I really like how you drew it to bring attention to the face. Love the shading and the figurine.

It is all round a lovely photo. Great job.

My very first impression of this is that it is a woman. For several reasons. The curve/lack of visible muscles of the stomach, the eyes and the shawl covering what I automatically assumed were "womanly features". haha I think part of the reason is because the shirt is a midriff. If it were JUST the shawl it might seem a little more male but still.

In my opinion, the head is a tad too small, proportionally speaking.

Like another critique said, you handled the perspective of the hand very well! But I disagree that the last 3 fingers are too long... Maybe the ring finger but only a slight bit. So that's not a big deal.

The background is great because it isn't distracting and the way it sort of "slides" or "flies" past the character's head draws your eye to their face right away. I really like the way you did that! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

And the whole pose in general is very well done. A great perspective! When I first saw the thumbnail I automatically clicked it because the reached-out hand and the intriguing eyes immediately pulled me in.

It looks like a woman for sure and I think the shawl pushes the deception over the top. It looks like it could just be covering breasts. I don't know the character at all, but I'd like to critique it as an image on its own. I think it's graphically strong. The play of light and shadow is well done. Even though the character is in shadow, he still stands out from the dark background. The hand's perspective is well handled, though I think the finger length of the back three fingers should be slightly smaller. This is quite difficult to do in any case and I think we see the small details more because we are artists. The background is appealing and the rainbow colors are not overdone. That was a good choice since it supports the sense of shadow and invitation to the dark side, so to speak. I like it.

Well I must say, this is my first critique. Okay, I could automatically tell you found this dude hard to draw. He looks to seductive to me, and I automatically thought he was a woman (even for a bishie). Your background is nice, even though I don't get it. XD Next time, don't make him look so bishie, do him in a more rough style (even though it may defeat the purpose, but it may help you) like more masculine, and that when I think it'll work in your favor. You should keep trying, my luck to you. God h

What I love most about this piece is the coloring, and transition from light to dark on one side to the other. While it's true that it looks more like a woman, mainly because of the face, I think that that kind of adds some sort of mystery to it. Either way, whether or not you fix that I don't feel is what's most important. The only main problem I see is that the head is a bit too small. Obviously it is supposed to be foreshortened because of the hand, but because the body, especially since the waist looks bigger, I feel that the head should be too. Overall, lovely coloring that I like.

At first I didn't understand why people were saying he looked like a girl, but then I saw the hair in the back and began to understand why. I would have to agree with DemonChroniclesOwner on this piece, as it would be more or less what I would have said. Nice job nonetheless.
