Description
Once again, this is the back of a plate. The pattern for this peacock is a glass etching pattern. Any sort of line drawing, or drawing with easily defined lines, makes a good image for carving. Much of the shading and shadowing that would be done with coloring in a drawing is accomplished with shadows in bass relief carving. I only got to keep this one a short time. It was snatched up the first weekend I showed it.
