Description title's a little lengthy...
anymoose, all I have to say is that it started out decent. Where it went from there...? I may go in and re-adjust the values a little more. I'm still not entirely happy w/ how it's shaded.

I'm really curious what is the story behind it It reminds me of the fairy tale with the swans, but I don't think this image relates to it..

I really like girls pose- it's very expressive. I also like the composition, and the shading - wonderfull work as always!

That is actually sort of what I had in mind. Awa was actually working on a picture of a girl whose back was to you, and there were these swans, and it looked as if the girl had wings but they were really swan's wings. Then, I started drawing this girl in this funny position, and decided that she seemed to be falling, but suspended. Then I thought of the swans, and that story of the girl where she knits sweaters for her brothers out of nettles to turn them from swans into humans again, but the last one didn't have sleeves, so the brother kept his wings. Then I was thinkinbg all weird and twisted the bird into that girl, and my hand ignored logic and took it all from there... O.o

Hehe woo now i know english word for a nettle (I've never seen any in this country, and yet I'd often fall in them while in Poland as a child)

And yes, that's the story I was thinking off when I saw this image.

oh, there are nettles here. Stinging nettles. They burn.

Long titles are great sometimes. I really like this; it's narrative. There's a whole story there that I want to know about the longer I look at it. The time spent was well worth it!
