I know I said captains would have mega evolving pokemon but I had thought about giving Jonquil a shiny serperior before deciding on the mega evos, and I could not change my mind about that. Jonquil is anyway a bit oddity among the captains so I think it fits him (and let’s face it, serperior will gain a mega evo at some point).
Anyway! Yes, Jonquil would have an absolutely stunning shiny serperior by his side. And I clearly channeled Sylvaur 's beautiful serperior drawings while making this even tho I told myself I would not. :’D

Daisy's Kraken and Serperior both have a serpent-like quality to them. You can see why Jonquil would choose this Pokémon, since he and Daisy get along so well.

It may not be a mega, but if it gets itself stronger it'll sweep no problem. Nice and HP Fire to wreck steel and bug types, powerful contrary Leaf Storm and Giga Drain for health recovery. Ah, good times.

This may be my favorite one so far...
Come to think of it, I've never actually trained a Serperior before, only a Servine. I might have to try raising one. After all, who could resist Contrary + Leaf Storm?
