err... wouldn't it strategically have been better to let edna protect her trainer? they're already fighting a legendary pokemon, making edna fight a legendary pokemon with a huge type advantage just seems pointless. napoleon would at least be neutral even without super power. Further edna has an important ability to slow down the effect of darkrai's nightmares so she'd be more valuable out of the battle to help whoever falls (even if as a group they can take out darkrai it's a bit too optimistic to think nobody'll be put to sleep in the process.) So I can't think of a single reason why edna isn't looking after the trainer... also edna could help her trainer suffer less right now as she's likely also in nightmares having been put to sleep by darkrai.

WAIT! Why is Edna going, Darkrai's typing is literally in his name and last I checked Dark types and SUPER Effective on ghost types so in the outcome of the upcoming fight Edna is going to die a second time. well at least we'll know what happens to a ghost if they die
