Fourth in my series of Pokemon with their Alolan forms! The Marowak graveyard is referenced frequently in Pokedex descriptions, so here's my take. Thanks for all your support with this series, I'm having a ton of fun doing it and streaming many of the painting sessions!

Incidentally, while playing silver version recently(original, if that makes any difference), I realized that the pokedex entry for cuebone says it "wears the skull of it's dead mother" among other things... I mean, lets face it. That's a really special kind of messed up.

Wait how does that work? Does a femal cubone lay an egg and die? Does it get killed? I don't think they thought that through. And what if I were to breed a cubone? If the mother is still alive how would it wear it's mothers skull?! Am I over analyzing this? I probably am. Don't change the fact that I wanna know. Aaauughhh why do I do this to myself?...

It is like Fnaf's story. It will never be explained. (Probably wont anyway.) Game theory tries to explain this with science and logic. But it's fun logic, so don't worry

These mirrored pokemon series are awesome. Would be cool if you drew the opposites in the reflection, like fire based pokemon ito a water based, or something like bulbasaur and a dried up one like leaves during the autmn.Β

Your lighting on the alola form is outstanding, it really gives a spectral feel to the Marowak which when paired with the stoic, brooding traditional form... It's a thing of beauty. All your mirrored pieces are great but this one really takes home the gold.
