You just know there is something evil here.
Question is, is it lurking in the water or in the woods.
So much detail work, I sense this was very enjoyable to do.
Sometimes when creating art the artist gets lost and pulled into the work.
Art that takes the artist away is awesome, I think this is one of those.
I’m not scared though, going to get a fishing pole and kick back a while here.

Thanks Joe. I have been trying not to get in a rut with my art. It is so easy for me to stay in my comfort zone. You are right this was a blast to work on. I was sad to finish it. I used a stock photo as my reference.

Personally I hate starting a picture, love the detailing.
Its a great feeling when it all comes together near the end and looking good.

I see your point of view, funny tho i live near one of the most haunted forest in my country. But i have never adventured there in my life, people Say aliens and ghost can be found at night. Really spooky stuff.

Yes I'm, and for a good reason vampires and other mythological creatures have their origin here. A spooky creature is the strigoi, there have been people who have dig the graves of corpses, and stab the heart of what they believe to be a strigoi.(when it was probably just a dead body) Its because of religion and superstition these things happend. From what i know always in villages, these night actions took place, never in the cities. People believe in God and when they do, one must be aware of evil forces also. But honestly i dont believe that a corpse can rise from the grave and walk the earth, thats just pure crazy!

I figure the thing to be most concerned about isn't creatures real or mythical. I watch out for other humans. You never know what humans might do. Some of them are dangerous.

Like my sphinx pic, I learned a lot from my photo-referenced portraits to know how to make a convincing imaginary face.
When you have an interesting idea, when you're inspired, you'll have a catalog of mental images to refer to :]

OK, try to draw every day, you don't have to post it all. But aside from this catalog I speak of (hehe), you also develop artistic muscle memory. This is especially important for traditional media (I think): line weight, movement, pencil position, etc.. Maybe I should pay more attention to these things digitally as well. Scooch over, I need to piss in the pity pot, lol.
