and yes, if u throw food at them (like cicadas, scavengers, even blue lizards for green lizards and etc) you can tame them and will follow and protect you (sometime) and will even sleep with you in the shelter (there's an achievement for it too!) :0
different lizards require different amount of food- like, red lizards require at least 5 for them to not kill you and 8 for them to follow you!
