Hello again, after some time I finally add another piece to my gallery. Geez!, I must be one of the most inactive DA members ever. I have been either really busy or sidetracked from other matters of which I will not reveal. However, you can probably tell by this pic what kind of show I've been watching lately. :laugh:
Now, I'm not gonna give my thorough thought on the new take of the show and game, it has enough opinions as it is; both positive and negative. And though I'll admit I have my own preference of what the creators should have done with it, I'm overall happy that the blue hedgehog made a new show appearance. And in CG! Would you believe while I watched some Sonic game cutscenes awhile back, I mentally wished they make a show or movie in CG of Sonic and friends? Well go figure, my wish came true. Ah ha!
Anyway, after some time, I decided to have a go at the gang's new styles. Which I really like I might add. (Yes, that includes Knuckles, he grew on me.) I have done a couple of doodles of the guys here and there, but this piece is the one I completed first.
Soooooooooooo.....do-I-ship-them? .....Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe? I maaaaaaaaaaay have a soft spot for these two. But one's things for certain, I love the changes the creators did with the hedgehogs. Not just their styles but their personalities, especially toward each other. Examples are the most obvious; Amy keeping her feelings for Sonic a secret and not obsessing over him, a lot more mature, Sonic being pretty responsible and a teeny weeny more open with his feelings. (sometimes more through gesture than verbal) These are the main changes I can think of that I like anyway. Some may not like it buuuuuuut..... Eh.
Granted, what I drew here is most likely out of their SB character, but this was just for some fun practice, a doodle that eventually became a mini comic I guess. In fact, I was working on a little fanfic based off of this. It's not done yet, not sure if I'll finish it being busy enough already. We'll see.
You know what? Consider this a late Valentines Day pic. Seems fitting enough.
