There will be a few images coming from this weekend's experience learning team roping under a PRCA photographer. It's day one and I'm beat, but so creatively fulfilled. The great thing about not being an official photographer and photographing a class is that I'm not pressured to get just the shots that sell. I'm allowed to get creative and get the angles that are normally not allowed during competitions. Traditionally, you don't photograph horses under 100mm focal length because of the distortion. But I had fun playing around with my wide angle lens, shooting out of the chute, getting nontraditional images.
