Description
After King Minos exiled Icarus and his father, Daedalus, because of the whole Labyrinth fiasco, the pair attempted to escape their prison on Crete. Daedalus, a master craftsman, put his genius to use and glued wings made of birds' feathers and wax to himself and his son, warning Icarus not to fly too close to the sun in their attempted escape. But the joy of flight overcame Icarus, who disregarded his father's warning and flew higher and higher, closer and closer to the sun. Before long the heat from the sun had melted the wax on his arms, and caught fire to his feathery wings. Icarus continued to flap his bare arms fruitlessly, but was brought down from the heavens and into the sea, where he drowned.... Crazy Greeks.

Homework for Art Class. We were give ALOT of freedom with this... Which I didn't make use of, because I suck and I have a very limited imagination.
It's been done for a few days, and looking at it now I don't really like it. Disregarding the horrible lack of background, the overall bad composition, and the sinfully cheated wings,
I BROKE HIS FUCKING ARMS AND DISPLACED HIS SHOULDERS.

Hahah yeaaah his arms do look a bit weird - it's mainly from the angle you've drawn them at and how they look in relation to the perspective on the rest of his body, methinks. I also think it would've looked nice composition wise if you had shifted him more over to the right (but that's just personal preference =3 )

Yuup. When I got home I stripped my shirt and took a look in the mirror to get a feel for how the arms SHOULD have looked.
Turns out, they SHOULD have looked very different, ahaha. xDD
And he probably has the broadest shoulders in the history of Greece, too.

I probably should have made the background larger in proportion, too, to dramatize the effect more. [But that would involve actually putting effort into the background OH LORD]

I'm pretty sure I took all of the muscles in his arms and just kinda taped them back in the wrong spot... But I couldn't find a good anatomy reference for muscles for that position. xDD;;
