You could always go for "the amazing world of gumball" type of thing? They all can fit together by how much they don't fit together.

Well the seed ideas are where to start! You should just try to bounce ideas off of your friends and see what develops. You don't need to be a professional to write. You just gotta try to have fun with it. The other pieces should fall into place if you keep at it.
