Description
Griffins are legendary half-eagle, half-lion creatures that are most effective when used against melee units, especially cavalry. Although grounded, they can devour the flesh of dead animals to replenish lost HP. This is especially effective when attacking a base surrounded by pigs/goats/cattle/yaks.

Known as the king of beasts, Griffins were powerful and wise creatures with the head, forelegs and wings of an eagle but the body of a lion. As they were stronger than oxen or horses, they were a popular war symbol and were found on many flags and coat of arms. They can also be associated with wealth, as they were known for guarding great treasures, or with the sun due to their ability to fly. Griffins were apex predators that would hide in caves in the mountains waiting for livestock to wander by. Few were lucky to have lived to tell how the Griffin silently swoop down to the pastures below and hauled entire beasts into the sky with its powerful talons, taking them back to its den to be devoured.
