Description
Dragon Hare

These appopriately named animals grow as large as rabbits. They feed on various plants and finds them using its large nostrils. The latter are located where eyes would normally be for animals of other planets. When a predator is detected via hearing or the sensitive guard hairs on its back, Dragon Hares will launch themselves in the air using their powerful legs to get away. They can also flap their wings for a short time to increase the escape distance. When moving around, they ressemble a comical dog scratching its rear on a carpet.

As of October 10 2012, little else is known about these organisms since they can feel research probes approaching and therefor always escape before we can properly study them.
