Well this turned out more wismical than I thought it would.Needed to brush up on paintings scales as I've found I've been getting a bit rigid when drawing them.
So I decided to use the Hypo Carno from 'the Isle' as a test subject, which ended up being both interesting and frustrating. I don't know what it is about the head that just throws me.
Drawn in procreate.

I personally find the head looks great actually. Feels right for the perspective, I think it's more so the neck that's throwing me off, but not that much. Think the scales look pretty great also on the arms and face.

Ah yes that neck, the creature's got a bit of a neck flap and I don't know what it is, but trying to draw a view looking strait at the thing while the creature's looking up I can't quite get right yet. (There's some perspective trick I need to get down there )
