Hey, I haven't updated in forever, so have this painting. It's not that I haven't been doing art, it's that I've been too damn lazy to post anythingI painted this using a family photograph of my great grandmother for reference (used with permission from the photographer, my dad.) This is one of the only pictures I've ever seen of her, so I always imagine her as she appears here: peering out a window with lace curtains in Cantalupa, with the hint of a smile on her face.
Black paint mixed from primary colors.
Acrylics on canvas board. 12" x 18". Winter 2014.
