Description "There are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things. Things which act against everything we believe in. They must be fought."

Troughton's Doctor is my favorite amongst the classic Doctors. His performance is not without a reason the one regularily cited by his successors as the one they use as their main source of inspration. Sometimes mysterious and sinister, sometimes comforting and warmhearted, always brilliantly funny. His era also introduced classic monsters like the Ice Warriors and The Yeti and established the Cybermen as a serious foe, along with introducing classic elements like The Time Lords, UNIT and the Sonic Screwdriver.
It's a real tragedy that so much of his era is lost, with only few stories complete.

So, my usual rundown of characters (I didn't manage to include all his stories, and yes, Ben & Polly are missing, but I tried to depict as much as I could), starting top left:

The Daleks & The Dalek Emperor (The Power Of The Daleks & The Evil Of The Daleks); Tobias Vaughn & Cybermen (The Moonbase, The Tomb Of The Cybermen, The Wheel In Space, The Invasion); a White Robot (The Mind Robber); Jamie McCrimmon (Companion); The Doctor; Victoria Waterfield (Companion); Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (The Web Of Fear & The Invasion); Zoe Heriot (Companion); a Fish People (The Underwater Menace); the LIZ-79 (The Space Pirates); a Quark (The Dominators); the War Lord (The War Games); a Kroton (The Krotons); Lt. Algernon Ffinch & some Redcoats (The Highlanders); a Yeti (The Abominable Snowman & The Web Of Fear); Mr. Quill (Fury From The Deep); The TARDIS; an Ice Warrior (The Ice Warriors & The Seeds Of Death).

Done with pencil, markers, ink and some Photoshop magic... an including some brushes by these fabulous fellows: &

I THINK...you forgot one:

Macra - The Macra Terror

Yes, well spotted, it's not in there, but it's not the only one I omitted (The Faceless Ones and Enemy Of The World aren't there, too).
I thought about including a crab Monster, but there are too few reference pictures to get a proper feeling for the creature and
it was more intended to get an impression of the era. When I do one of these for Doctors with a longer tenure, some stories will inevitably
land on the cutting room floor, as it gets too difficult if I have to draw the characters too small. So I just pick my favorites !

Dude, I'm not even a Doctor Who fan, but I just gotta say something I love about your art in general. You stuff your art with SOOOOO much detail.

Every time you look at it you find something new to look at. It's just awesome. 83

Thank you, that's very nice of you. I'm sometimes a bit worried that my pictures are a bit to "overcrowded". Well, I suppose I'll have to live with that.

Well crowded is only a bad thing in SOME cases.

These drawings you're doing are meant to showcase everything that really stands out in that particular Doctor's show. And it very impressive how you're able to economize your space.

OK, let me be the first to thank you for sharing this masterpiece. Yes, Patrick was the Doctor's Doctor!  And we have nothing to be ashamed for!

Thank you! Indeed, we may have lost a lot of his stories, but all the more reason to cherish the episodes we still have...
