Description
Here is some of the details of the army below. Like some of the latest films I admire where you see epic scenes or armies, I tried to find a way to create an army without painting each character. I also didn't want to copy and paste in photoshop so I found a 3d solution.
What I did is I painted a few soldiers flat in 2d then I mapped them to flat 3d planes and multiplied them by the thousands in perspective. I also built a rough 3d posable soldier and created diffrent pose states and multiplied them by the hundreds in perspective. This way I can put the 3d posable soldiers nearer to the viewer while putting the flat soldiers way in the back. Not unlike what you see in films just that it didn't cost me millions, I used a cheap old program called "Imagine for windows".
Once I got everything in place then I painted on top to integrate the 3d elements with the rest of the painting.

So much fun and very challenging.
