Description Here is a picture of Agamid Drakarum, the Shivanian druid, and his student Ganth, Hotara's adoptive son.

Agamid is simply a hot character!

It's one of the old artworks I made, but since my skills are improved, I re-edit this pic all over to lessen the thickness of lines and the pose proportions.

This is only an another good practice for anatomy and shadowing. But sorry about his legs...anyway, what do you think?

Well for me all your work is extremely awesome and well done, sometimes I actually wish that I can draw like you but I know in order to do that I need to pratice, ANYWHO about your picture that you made right here. It is basic and would be really nice as a Ref Sheet that I might wanna draw laters e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/> maybe.... the anatomy is decent and I like the loin cloth that you have given this one ^_^ it is something that totally has the Kevindragon style.... man those guys must work out like 10 times a day cause they are totally ripped!!!!

well anywho take care and stay safe,
Tensaug7

Sorry to say so but i don't agree at all with Reptiles critic on this..
I Love the little one and love the cute effect
I think your style is great, and that you do a great job at what you do
Its realistic and at the same time comic and I love that, thats unique!!
In my opinion: Do what you love and create your own style<3
I think you already have
and if you want to make realistic and comic at the same time, why not? I think its possible. I like Art to be limitless<3

(Sorry for the bad English it is not my first language) *hugs*

Actually, Ganth, that little one, is Hotara's adoptive "nephew"...and Agamid is his teacher.

Oh nice remake of the type of characters that are in tour avatar, like that is. I like how you carrying this little guy in his arms, like a son as you even said yourself, and my guess training him in the ways of the Druid legacy as it were. Again nice pose, posture, and overall physical aspects I think are quite well, great job.

I love reptile guys carrying their little ones. Agamid will teach his pupil the ways of the Druid when they are involved in nature spirit...It will be a pleasure ^^
Thank you

I wanted to write a critique, BUT this takes too long and it's stupid, anyway. ^^"
So, I just write my points down right HERE!

Positive aspects:

+) Torso: the upper body muscles work well by now, the chest is strong and looks really good!

+) Belly muscles: well, that's a nice sixpack and it looks not like "horn plates", it does looks believable and "fleshy". Nice!

Negative aspects:

-) Anatomical issues: the biggest mistake is the left knee and his lower left leg! You have drawn the upper part of the left kneecap (which is correct) and then the left shinbone... which is totally broken!! Don't you see it? The shinbone is pointing right, while it should connect with the kneecap!
Indeed, you still have MUCH to work on your LEGS!
Yes.

-) Eyes/facial expression: well... you are adding some lines now, but it still DOES NOT WORK to do a facial expression. You still have the same boring expression... and just adding some lines here and there DO NOT do the trick!
And the eye of the small guy... is terrible! IT almost destroys the entire picture!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, you love the "cute-attack" here... but this is not working. His eyes look like these little plastic eyes, which you can glue to a toy and which are moving all around. -..-
You can draw big eye... which are correct and you can still keep the "cute" factor! But right now... it is NOT working at all.
Why? Because you're trying to draw realistic anatomy... and on the other hand you're doing this cartoony, unrealistic huge eye.
It is just not believable, sorry.

-) Wrists: too thick!!!

-) Hands: the nails seem to grow out of the fingers, which look like sausages. Also, his right hand is WAY too small!

-) Lighting and shading: sorry, but the main light source is still not working properly. IT IS getting better, yes... but your shading is still too flat and too "insecure". Try more "brave" shading... harder shading, too. I made the conclusion, that it's a good experience to turn the shading layer VERY DARK for a change. YOU can even turn the shading entirely BLACK... that might look weird at first... but it is a wonderful experience.
Later, you can make it thinner and lighter again! ^^

-) Base shadow: I've done the same trick... using the entire drawing and use it as base shadow on the floor. But this is NOT working all the time. See, you have to add more shadow coming from the toes!

Final statement:

Well... this picture doesn't really appeal to me and I find it simply boring. But that's my personal opinion. From a technical point of view, you still need to work on your anatomy - though the torso is getting better already.
The relationship between the young one and the adult one is there... but there's not a real connection between them. The adult one is looking away... just holding the small one as if he was baggage. I miss some sort of "feeling"... or intense connection between the characters.

And this is a really small loincloth.............. O..o

Ahhh, very good criticism for torso, wrist, hands shading, shadow, and the connection between two characters. (but don't you want to know their name? Agamid, that adult one, is my favourite lizard character.) and the expressions. Thank you for the points

Well, when I have time to draw, soon I will edit this picture and re-submit it (including credits, yes )

agreed with that comment^

that cloth is incredibly small... makes me wonder, does that creature have genitals? If yes, then there's a problem, if no, then why hide it?

upper body looks great

Thanks for your support. ^^

You know why I'm grateful?? I had a weird feeling last night... just like "Hm, was it okay to write this novel-comment again... containing more negative than positive aspects?".
I admit, it's a tough critque... but it is FAIR!
And I simply refuse to keep my mouth shut when I see means of correction!!!

And yepp, the torso is indeed quite ok. But when working with humanoid anatomy (and trying to make it as real as possible), one has to learn anatomy!!!!

Thanks again. I'm glad that I'm not the ONLY ONE who saw this!
