This is my finished version of the redo of this pic: [link]What would have happened if Simba had died? If Mufasa had been too late? How would they have coped? Would there had been another cub?
I am very pleased with the outcome! Finally getting some not too bad looking background!

I could quite easily imagine that really.. :/ Maybe they'd both leave the Pridelands and start over somewhere else? But that'd mean leaving everyone behind.. Dont know if Sarabi could do that... omg Mufasa would have to leave alone

I had a whole bunch ideas for this concept, like a whole thing with simba dying leading up to a huge fight of Scar vs Mufasa, though in order for that to work id have change the entire movie around lol but its certainly an idea that has a lot of potential, not for disney though lol

I had two seperate ideas for a TLK fan fiction, one entirely about Mufasa & Scar having a battle over the pridelands, though I never of killing simba (though would actually work great in my idea), I've seen many fan fictions where the whole movie is changed around, which only works for a little while, but some fan fictions I've seen its not even lion king anymore XD

It would be an interesting AU fic to write. I think they would have another cub, and the loss of Simba would still affect their lives for a long time. Maybe the new cub would spend his time trying to live up to his memory.

I think if Mufasa was too late to rescue Simba. Both Sarabi and him could have tried to have another cub. Or if not possible Mufasa would stepped down as king, thus Scar would have taken the throne. With him having to carry on the royal family tree. If Scar didn't want cubs, then the line would have ended after he died. I think both Mufasa and Sarabi would have been heart broken, if they lost Simba. So they might have abandoned their roles as king and queen of Pride rock.
Also the movie would have been completely different if Simba didn't survive. The Lion King has a great story line, and is great the way it is.

I have to disagree. After all, Simba and Nala did technically lose a cub before Kiara, hence why Simba became very protective of his daughter. Mufasa would probably have done the same, become very over protective. I just think Mufasa is too much of a responsible king to abandon his kingdom. He just doesn't come across as a selfish Lion to do such a thing.
