Here we have the leader of the Cartoon Resistance, the one and only DEXTER!!!! Unlike his Ego Trip future self Action Dexter, this one keeps his hair and is part cyborg.

Before he became a resistance leader, Dexter was still the lab hiding boy genius who butted heads with Mandark and tries to get Dee Dee out of his lab. But everything changed when Mandark discovered a new substance in his that caused him to go mad and unleash the madness across the land resulting in alot of casualties. The madness attacked Dexter's lab while Dee Dee was there and she, along with his parents were the first casualties of the madness. Dexter survived but was injured badly and upon seeing the bodies of his sister and parents, he grieved big style. Mandark fled into the darkness now that his mind was broken beyond belief.

Dexter managed to fix himself by becoming part cyborg and like Action future self, he went underground to hide from the Madness to save his sanity. He had a few close calls with the madness with one taking his left eye but he replaced it and continued to dig on in silence until he made it to the newly dubbed scraplands. There, Dexter stayed relying on bugs and rain water as his source of food and water. But this isolation began to affect his sanity resulting in him seeing his sister but in a twisted broken state. This hallucination called him a coward for abandoning everyone and everything. He should be ashamed and should pay for abandonment. This was the Madness's way of breaking him. To get him to submit to it's whims. But Dexter was strong willed. He yelled at the hallucination that she was not the real Dee Dee. The real Dee Dee would tell him to fight back, to stomp on the madness and not be it's bitch. The Hallucination warned Dexter that this would be his mistake and the next time the madness encounter him, he will regret it.

This made Dexter start the resistance against the madness. He goes around helping those who survived the madness and add them to his resistance on the account that they will be protected. The likes of the Titans, Grim, Robotboy, Yumi, Courage, Timmy and Danny all joined with him to make the resistance. Unfortunately, the likes of Mandy causes problems to the gang as she chose to go with the madness by becoming their grim reaper.
