Description Hush my dear, drink of sweet wine
and dream of sweet things, in this our dark time
for when you wake i'll have you under my arm
on angels wings carry us from further harm
from monsters and rogues who would do unto
and should we part I'll sing in memory of you

of you, of you, in memory of you
But I pray we meet in heaven, or last the night through

A song sung in whispered tones to children while the monsters are about.

Jerris comes from outside Negav and her village and parents wiped out, the last thing she remembered from her village was being given a drink that made her sleepy while her mother sang her this songΒ youtu.be/X3LfbicQV8E

I kind of imagine folk songs in Felarya are pretty grim, while mainstream songs are likely to be delusionally upbeat.Β

Jerris is my character

Felarya is 's turf

true it is, unfortunately its seems this kind of thing would likely be common for youngsters in Felarya

Though doesn't it?

I suppose if you were from the richer end of Negav you might be a bit more sheltered. But from what I've read and info checked Negav seems like it has a very polarized economy. Which would mean the parents in lower class families would likely have to lend services to adventurers and we know very well how that goes. Just sayin being a kid in Felarya is probably incredibly rough

Nice sad song. Your thought about Felarya songs seems about right to me.
Also, (assuming that's you singing) you have a nice voice!

"Folk/underground music" usually represents the true nature of a culture or lifestyle, while "fashionable music" usually reflects how people "want to feel" in culture and life.

also yes that is me singing, I'm glad you like it
