Okay...I lied It couldn't hurt to share one more titbit, could it?

So...I'm all out of icons, but you can have a look at the cover of the Breedbook. You just can't open it until tomorow

HEADS UP
You may find it easiest to wait until all the pages are uploaded, go to the group folder, and then click on the cover, and use the arrows in the toolbar at the top of your dA page to 'read through' the book. It will probably feel more like an actual book, and less disjointed that way. I'll upload all the pages more or less together and arrange them in the right order in the folder for you

Fun info:
1. For many, many years, all the information that Keepers and their descendents kept on the breed was in note form. Families would have piles and piles of notes, parchment and torn off receipts or takeaway menus all over their homes and offices where they documented the things they observed and discovered. It was only in the 1800's that they decided to compile all this information into the first breedbook. It took months for everyone to step forward with all their stacks of scrap paper, and a whole unit of people were employed for over a year to make sense of all the information. Following that, the first rough work up of the book was sent to many people on the Island including the scientists, behaviourists, nutritionists and yard workers, to be sure everything as as true as possible.
2. The first book was bound over 100 years ago in a little book binding shop on the South-East coast of Keeper's Island. That copy exists today, carefully protected and preserved in one of the Museums on the Isle. Since then, more has been discovered, and the book was adjusted and rebound and distributed. This edition is one of 400 printed in the 1900's. Newer prints are being done, and are run through a printers today, to be given to new owners of the SeaSouls as they work out into the world. The information they contain is the same, but the books are current, rather than old, like this one.
3. This particular edition was sold to one of the universities on the Island, and ended up in the hands of Hadley; one of the girls working on the Beaches. She...has a lot to say about the breed, so she felt it necessary to make some annotations...

At some point, there will be a bit of a feature called the Keeper's Diaries. Some of the Keeper's are characters in my mind, and I thought it would be fun to get a bit of insight into their minds and lives. So those of you interested in what goes on at Keeper's Island...keep an eye out for that

As you can probably tell, I borrowed the art I did of Calpa (below) to make a stamp-like outline for the cover image. The text is called 'Worstveld Sling Extra' and I believe I downloaded it from 'dafont.com' or something a long while ago.
