Is this the original or have you managed to turn it into a mould? Very impressive job too!

I meant an original piece of your own .. probably should have worded that properly.. If you could mass produce these, I think selling them would an idea..

Hi, Yes, maybe I didnΒ΄t understand what you tried to say. There is an idea of making these in mass production. So far I have made several in lead but they donΒ΄t look like I want them to, so IΒ΄m starting to build my forge to make them in brass. Will update info on this in the near future.

Might I suggest you try wax? A good molder's wax or a jeweler's wax. The molder's wax is soft and slightly stick but makes a good base to create a mold from and then cast a master. Jeweler's wax comes in several grades and if you know any jewelers, you might be able to get them to order you some to play with and get a feel of the material. It's not as soft as epoxy but it is less likely to loose the sharpness of the lines you were working on within the structure of the wings (feathers).

You can carve the harder grades of wax with files and precision blades to get very sharp details and if a mistake occurs, you can readily repair that with some of the wax you have carved away, melted, and carefully applied so you do not interfere with the rest of the work you have done.

Not sure which type of epoxy you used but this certainly shows you have a pretty good handle on the material and with a few more pieces, I am fairly certain you can create pieces that you can create good molds from.

Thanks for the info. IΒ΄m always looking for new ways and new materials. Never tryed wax but I do have a jewelery around the corner, may ask them.

Again, thanks for the info and for the comment.

You are welcome. I hope they can help you and you get a chance to try it out. I think you will find it works very nicely for your purposes and you might even get the opportunity to learn to cast multiple pieces from your orignal.

HI, NO. I JUST PUT A PHOTOCOPY OF THE EAGLE AND STARTED MOLDING OVER THAT GIVING IT THE DIFERENT LEVELS.
