I guess they didn't want to make another Marvel vs DC so soon by pitting Ultron vs Braniac (but then this fight makes more sense after all).
That being said, as much as I'm a fan of Mega Man X, I'm going to have to put my money on Ultron here.

Honestly, Ultron vs Sigma makes way much more sense than with Brainiac.
While Brainiac is this all-powerful alien robot with supreme knowledge who puts worlds in jars and is way more of a... Well, a brainiac, Ultron and Sigma are basically big warmonger robots who just wish to wipe out humanity in the profit of robotic kind and have this reputation of never knowing when to stay dead for a moment !

I'm kind of glad about it actually. Never felt like Ultron vs Braniac was that good of an idea to start with (I don't even think Braniac theoretically has a way of hurting Ultron actually).
Besides, this at least gives one of my favorite franchises a time to shine again.

And Ultron will win easily. I know heβs faced the entire Avengers, he can always download into a new body with more upgrades, heβs stronger to go toe-to-toe with Thor and Hulk. And even resisted the shut down protocol made by Ant-Man.
Also thank god itβs not Brainiac. I really hate DC. Why canβt they just give up after horrible movies like Justice League and Green Lantern?

Sigma can also download himself through other upgraded models, that's what this fight interesting. they just don't know how to stay Dead.
Second, wanting an entire artistic company to shut because you don't like it (especially for two mediocre movies out of all the rest : comics, cartoons, series and good movies)... In a way, let's say that Hitler and Musolini did the same, so...
