Description
Updated the ref for this lovely lady! Got lazy shading the hindquarters, but I’m rusty digitally. Also I find her seal bay colouring tricky without my pencils. Hoping to get her out competing again soon!

Personality

Caliente, or Lady Muck as Ephy likes to call her certainly has a strong character. She is very clear about what she does and does not like, and would probably even be called a 'diva'. However once she gets into the ring at a competition she focuses on the task at hand whatever the circumstances. Her great desire is to be the centre of attention, and luckily she sees behaving and performing in dressage as the best way to do this.

Despite her slightly spoilt nature, she is generally very good to handle, and she enjoys being groomed and bathed (make sure it isn't cold water though!) She is not 'marish' in her behaviour, remaining consistent throughout her cycle. In fact she is quite disdainful of stallions and completely ignores any of their efforts to impress her, though she enjoys the attention.
Hopefully her character is indicative of a successful competition future, following in the footsteps of her sire, The Finnish Patient, a renowned dressage horse and prominent sire.

Likes: To be the centre of attention, Polos

Dislikes: Going too fast, jumping spooky showjumps (a factor in the decision to train her for dressage), being out in the field in the rain

Quirks: Picky about her food - she has her feeds separated into 4 portions given to her throughout the day whereas most of the other horses only have 2.

Tack: Dressage saddle, snaffle bridle (eggbutt snaffle with lozenge joint), Double bridle (eggbutt bradoon with lozenge joint, and mullen mouth weymouth)

When schooling or warming up she usually wears over reach boots on her front legs, and exercise bandages all round.
