Feedback/comments always appreciated, mimicking styles (especially anime ones) arent my forte

Been a while since I made any fakemon, sorry for the craptastic quality. This guy popped into my head last night so I decided to draw it today. As usual, I made it way more detailed than any pokemon ever would be, but oh well.

I find it strange that the makers of pokemon seem to draw inspiration from everything BUT mythology, save the dragons. I suppose the sarcophagus thing is a start, but youd think theyd have some fun with mythical creatures, rather than giving various rodents the power of lightening over and over. Ive done a few myth and religion based fakemon and I think theyre rather fun. Im quite fond of kirin myself, so it figures Id eventually think of something to do with them. As much as I like the idea, Im still not sure if Im really satisfied with this.

Name: Nirik
Class: Little Storm Pokemon
Type: Electric
Ability: Static
Flavor Text: Nirik are very rare, only known to live on one remote island chain in old-growth forests inhabited by Dama. If one is sighted, it is said to bring rain, so farmers will often try to attract one to their fields during dry seasons.
M/F ratio: 50/50

Name: Kiriki
Class: Monsoon pokemon
Type: Electric/psycic
Ability: Volt absorb/lightening rod
Flavor text: They are said to be the embodiment of monsoons, and have the ability to control all the elements of the storm. Running creates wind, their hooves make the thunder, their horn creates lightening, and their Magikarp scales bring the rain, or so they say.
Alt Text: Local legend says they bring the monsoons and control the wind, rain, lightening and thunder that goes with it, though this is not true. Their affiliation with storms comes from the many tales of travelers and fishermen caught in storms being protected from lightening strikes when a Kiriki appeared and used its horn as a lightening rod.
