Description
Once upon a time, in days long past
In a cottage on the corner of Bonnet and Mast
Lived a cat raised from birth by a lonely young girl in pink
This cottage was the entire world, or so the cat did think

See this girl was orphaned a few years back
Her household fell to ruin as quick as a flash
Apprenticed to a grocer she became to pick up the slack
Tired and sad, but at her dear cat she would never lash

The cat saw her kindness and wanted to help pay her fares
So in the wee hours of the night he ascended the stairs
To the Magician's University Library, and upon the shelf
He would find books about magic, how to gain power and wealth

In the night the cat studied hard for multiple years
While in the day he tried to dry his dear girl's tears
Eventually the cat had mastered the elements and rhymes
But little did he realize he was already out of time

The girl he loved so much was now old, and found a man
A pianist named Peter, who made decent gold with his band
The cat stood in awe, as even with all his magic had given
He still was a cat and that was all his owner would ever see in him

The cat knew he did not belong here, so he departed our world
He left to seek adventures in places untold
No matter his location, each night he thought of his girl
For in all his studies of magic, he still couldn't think
of a spell more powerful than the smile of the girl in pink
