thank you M.
i am taking some photos for promotion.
after i move my office to new place, i want to get new clients in that area.
there are cafes, restaurants, and shops.
i do not want to talk talk and talk to promote myself.
i just need some good photos to get new clients.
something attractive, funny, shocking, or anything that has impact on the people who watch it.
i will do some more variation in "oops" series and may be something more.
wish me luck.
ps
drink coffee! it taste heaven!

this is beautiful...it doesnt have the same hit you in the face white that is usually such prominent in your work...were you going for a dull white?

TE2YA In reply to cimsagro [2009-11-06 09:38:58 +0000 UTC]
oh, no.
i just setup the wall light darker than usual.
i wanted to define the edge of these white ware.
but after reading some of your comments,
i feel i need to go back to WHITE background setup.
i will do some burger shots soon.
so let me do white on that.

ps
i totally forgot i had these behind the scene shots in my journal.
the picture with "1"... can you see the red cans? on these cans, there are black things. they are the flashes i used for the coffee shot. and they are fired when i took picture "1", so you can see how they lit the wall. even the wall look totally bright in the picture "1", in my camera exposure setting, it is gray.
it may be because, coffee=very reflective, cup=reflective, and wall=not so reflective.
so if i set my exposure to the coffee, it will result gray wall.
so i should have added one more flash to lit just the wall.... like you said.

>Maybe a separation light on the bkgnd would have made this a little brighter and you could have kept your defined edges?
YES, i should have done that way.
at that time, i shot only by side 2 flashes.
since i got many comment about dark gray background, when i take burger shot i did some improvements.
i only have 3 flashes, and one of them are very weak.
so most of my lighting rely on these two flash or sunlight.
>are you a working photographer? or is your job elsewhere?
YES... i am an architect, designer, and photographer.
now i am shifting my work towards to photography more and more.
it is much easier to get photography job compare to architecture project.
and getting more clients in photography gives me a chance to get more architecture projects in the future. next year, i want to get 100 clients. that is my target number right now.
wish me luck!
