Blunting his teeth might be a compromise. Make an iron bar and slide it back and forth to quickly wear the points down. They would still be good for soft fish, but far less deadly for fur and hide.

I love this comic, but my screen isn't that big and I sometimes have to lean in and squint when I'm trying to read the text/observe small details

Hm! Ok, it is also possible to change your screen view size. There should be a 'view' button somewhere at the top task bar. Click that, then look for 'zoom.' it allows you to change the %... we keep ours at 125%, but one can go up to 400% and then you can change it back to whatever the current reading is, afterwards.

I do that also, but it has its limits - the main issue is that the image looks blurry.
Not unrecognizable, mind you, but when the image is uploaded at a higher quality it solves all of these problems.

I love how nuanced and layered the characters and the situation are. It's so true to life: it's rarely as simple as we'd like it to be.

based on what egg said before it sounds like she was very aggressive before and that taking her teeth may have ended up for the better on both sides. its unnecessary to do it with very meat eater that comes across their path though. and its possible to spread into more "civilized" meats like fish becoming a main meal if they discover nets or fish traps next.

I never did like what they did to poor Egg, so at least one of these fluff butts has a conscious towards her. Plus, he wants to make sure that Rask stays the way he is. I mean, predation aside, there're one other factor that the herbivores aren't thinking of. Sharp teeth means sharp weapon. So if he bites an enemy, it'll do a LOT more damage than anything they could do even with spears.

At least Sprig's more understanding and compassionate compare to some creatures (I'm looking at the vengeful bunny with the skin-coat and 'tooth' *cough* Hemlock *cough*). Plus, I think we're probably going to hear about Egg's past.
