The emptiness is the inevitable Consequence of too much sentience but not yet enough concept of “conservation”.
I suppose live stock would have to be manipulated like the “Eloi” from “The Time Machine” to keep them under control in their sentience.

I hope so too. Besides he is too heavy for those tiny thin branches that Rask is climbing to hold the wolf's weight.

That wolf, Blackfoot, just doesn't give up, does he? I don't think he's just hungry anymore, I now think he's developed a grudge against Rask. That other wolf, Cree, sure knows when she's been beaten. But she's also worried about something, I wonder what though...
